The Model 6000 is typically used to calibrate Altimeters and Climb (VSI) indicators. It is also used for calibrating cabin pressure controllers. Being a high accuracy instrument with low drift, it is frequently used as a barometric standard. The unit is small and portable and therefore can be used at the aircraft.

Since it can display pressure in a wide range of units, it is used for calibration of a variety of pressure instruments. The Rate of change of pressure is also displayed, which allows it to be used for determining leak rates, etc..

This unit features RS232 and IEEE-488 interfaces which allow it to be used in an automated setup. All functions available on the front panel can be controlled remotely through one of these interfaces.
